The Echo Gang, together with Wendy and Joanne from the Village Café, wish all our readers a Happy Christmas, peaceful and relaxing holidays and a healthy, successful and fulfilling New Year!

We hope you enjoy the season and are looking forward to seeing relatives and friends, having special and interesting experiences, having fun, relaxing, going out or staying home.

 If you’re traveling be safe – actually be safe wherever you are!

 In the new year we hope to continue to work on and improve The Echo, make the Echolist grow and enjoy our vertical village. We are fortunate to live here.

 Please get in touch and let us know your ideas, comments and suggestions. We are also happy to accept articles from you and offers to volunteer.

Best wishes to one and all!

 Christmas poem by Edgar Guest (second stanza)

When it’s Christmas man is bigger

and is better in his part;

he is keener for the service

that is prompted by the heart.

All the petty thoughts and narrow

seem to vanish for a while.

And the true reward he’s seeking

is the glory of a smile.

Then for others he is toiling and

somehow it seems to me

that at Christmas he is almost

what God wanted him to be.
